As part of Abbott Life Flexible Benefits Programme, all permanent employees are eligible for free private health cover. Employees may cover family members at extra cost.

Abbott provides employees with at least five years’ service with income protection should they be ill or disabled for longer than 26 weeks. Employees whose claim is accepted receive 50% of their base salary for a period of up to 3 years. Note: employees must be a member of an Abbott Pension Scheme.

All regular employees are immediately covered by 1 time their base salary on joining the company. Those who join a company pension scheme may receive a core cover of up to four times their base salary. Additionally employees can increase their coverage through Abbott Life.
