Assignments in our rotational Development Programs are formally structured, two-to-three-year assignments designed to let participants explore new career opportunities and experiences based on specific functions or disciplines. You can apply to positions in different areas of the company and at various locations throughout the world. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Abbott sponsorship, be enrolled in a major in a related discipline, and possess a willingness to travel and be placed anywhere throughout the United States.
Our Financial Professional Development Program (FPDP) prepares college graduates with majors in finance and accounting for financial management roles. Participants will combine technical and business knowledge to work on core assignments in Financial Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting and Reporting & Controls. Ideal candidates will hold a BS/BA in Finance or Accounting and have leadership experience, membership in Finance or Accounting organizations and at least one completed internship.
Our IT Professional Development Program is a two-year program that develops candidates through four, six-month assignment rotations. Core skills include, but are not limited to, project management, business systems analysis and business analytics. Applicants will hold an IT-related degree and have technical business knowledge, as well as analytic and creative problem solving abilities.
Our Quality Professional Development Program (QPDP) is an entry-level, two-year rotation program. Candidates will work with other professionals in Plant Quality Assurance, Division or Corporate Quality Assurance and Division or Corporate Regulatory Affairs. Candidates will hold a BS or Masters Degree in Life Sciences like Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering or Quality Sciences and be eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis with Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs related internship/co-op/work experience.
Regulatory Affairs PDP's or interns will work within a regulatory environment and can gain exposure to various tools and procedures. Projects assigned will impact the business and offer professional hands-on experience and exposure to the healthcare industry. Work will vary dependent on division. Candidates will hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Life Sciences—Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biomedical Engineering.
The Engineering Professional Development Program (EPDP) is an entry-level, two year rotation program with learning tracks in Plant Engineering, Engineering Research & Development and Product Development. Preferred qualifications for the program include a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or General Engineering. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States permanently and have engineering related experience.
Our Environmental Health and Safety Professional Development Program (EHS PDP) is an entry-level, two-year rotation program that promotes personal and professional growth. Learning tracks include Plant Support, Lab Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Engineering. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a safety related field.
Our Manufacturing Professional Development Program (MPDP) is an entry-level, two-year rotation program designed to offer real-world experience while promoting personal and professional growth. Learning tracks include Materials Management/Supply Chain, Operations Supervision, Project Management
